Itinerary
Day 1 :
Kilimanjaro Airport - Arusha
● On arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport (JRO) you will be welcomed by our rep and transferred to your accommodation in Arusha
● Overnight at Hotel in Arusha - Bed & Breakfast Basis
Day 2 :
Arusha - Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, you will be depart for Tarangire National Park with picnic lunch
● Safari drives within the circuits of the National Park
● Overnight in Tarangire NP (Tented Camps or Lodges) - Dinner, Breakfast, Lunch
Day 3 :
Tarangire National Park - Ngorongoro Conservation Area via Lake Manyara
● Morning safaris in Tarangire National Park before heading to Lake Manyara National Park for afternoon safari
● Safari drives within the National Park with picnic lunch
● Overnight at Ngorongoro Crater Rim (Tented Camp or Lodge)
Day 4 :
Ngorongoro Crater
● After a very early breakfast, descend into the Caldera, a Unesco World Heritage Site, to experience safaris within the crater floor
● Ascend and return to lodge for late lunch with afternoon at leisure or visit the Masai Manyatta or enjoy a nature trek around the lodge.
● Overnight at Ngorongoro Crater Rim (Tented Camp or Lodge)
Day 5 :
Ngorongoro Crater - Serengeti National Park
● After breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park via Olduvai Gorge, an archaeological site with very strong paleontological importance
● Thereafterm continue to Serengeti National Park, exploring the park before reaching the lodge ● Overnight in Serengeti National Park (Tented Camps or Lodges) - Dinner, Breakfast, Lunch
Day 6 :
Serengeti National Park
● Optional - Balloon Safari at dawn followed by an ‘Out Of Africa’ style Champagne Bush Breakfast Alternatively - embark on a full day safari, exploring the vast savannah plains in pursuit of the wildebeest migration and the predatory wildlife abundant in this National Park
Day 7 :
Serengeti National Park
● Overnight in Serengeti National Park (Tented Camps or Lodges) - Dinner, Breakfast, Lunch
Day 8 :
Serengeti National Park - Kilimanjaro Airport - Kigali (Rwanda) or Entebbe (Uganda)
● Depart for the Serengeti Airstrip after breakfast to connect to your onward flight to Rwanda or Uganda via Kilimanjaro International Airport
● At the airstrip you will bid farewell to your Tanzania safari guide.
● On arrival in Kigali / entebbe, you will be met by our rep who will transfer you to the lodge for ● Overnight in Kigali / Entebbe (Hotels/Lodges) - Dinner, Breakfast, Lunch
Day 9 :
Kigali/Entebbe - Volcanoes/Virunga Mountains
● After breakfast, you will transfer to Volcanoes/Virunga Mountain Area via the local towns
● Overnight in Volcanoes/Virunga Mountain Area (Tented Camps) - Dinner, Breakfast, Lunch
Day 10 :
Volcanoes/Virunga Mountains - Gorilla Trekking
● After breakfast, you will transfer to briefing points in Volcanoes/Virunga Mountain Area where you will meet your guides for a detailed briefing before heading up the respective mountains to spend some quality time with Humankind’s closest cousin’s the Mountain Gorillas. Depending on the location of the gorillas, the trek can be arduous and tough, but worth the pain.
● After spending time with the Gorillas, you will descend and your driver will then transfer you to your hotel. Afternoon at leisure recovering from the trek.
● Overnight in Volcanoes/Virunga Mountain Area (Tented Camps) - Dinner, Breakfast, Lunch
Day 11 :
Volcanoes/Virunga Mountains - Kigali/Entebbe Airport
● After breakfast, you will be transferred to Kigali/Entebbe for lunch
● Thereafter, you will be transferred transferred to Kigali/Entebbe International Airport to connect to your return/onward flight
● We bid you farewell and adieu on reaching the airport and wish you a wonderful journey with the hope of seeing you back in Africa - till we meet again!
